Bast Fibers are available for different production systems and a plethora of end-use markets.
Spinning – Fibers for cotton Ring Spun and Open End, modified worsted, wool spinning systems. This covers conventional textile uses as well as new technical yarns.
Nonwovens – Fibers for needlepunch and airlaid systems, making fabrics for automotive, bedding, furniture, carpet, geotextile as well as acoustical and insulation building materials.
Injection Molding – Fibers for making natural fiber/plastic resin pellets for use on any injection molding equipment. Natural fiber reinforced plastics are suitable for automotive/transportation, building and construction, appliances/consumer products, packaging/material handling and furniture and fixtures.
Thermosets – Natural fiber yarns and fabrics are available for prepreg epoxy production. Many new carbon/natural fiber composites are being developed and beginning to go into production.
